This letter arrived this morning from India, together with the news that Dakota Warrior has been reviewed on Kokila Gupta's blog:
"The narration was a shocking revelation to me. Not regarding the way he was framed ,bullied, wronged by the authorities, maltreated, hated and humiliated .......... because we,as Indian citizens face the same challenges to avoid situations leading to such horrendous ordeals all our lives, the shock for me instead was that it existed in America !! Towards their own countrymen! And Asians are all dreamy eyed about the big American dream considering the racial violence/hatred to be once in a blue moon by some maniac. I was fed on a diet of Hollywood movies and Reader's Digest . I have experienced the psychological and emotional turmoil of natives and whites alike while watching movies like - The Help, To sir with Love, The sister Act-2 .... but that's all.So, the books was an eye-opener in more then one ways. What happened to James was cruel but your coming to his rescue confirmed my believe in the saying that -if all is not well in the end ..it is not the end."
